Thomas S. Pupko, 91, of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Quakake, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna Fristick Pupko.

Thomas was a WWII veteran, serving in the Air Force.

He was a member of St. Mary B.C. Church, Mahanoy City.

Prior to retiring, he was first employed as a coal miner then later as a union mason and proprietor of Thomas Pupko & Son Masonry.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

Thomas enjoyed cooking and also caring for his garden. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son, Daniel Pupko, and ten brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Valeria Petritsch Pupko; son, Stephen Pupko, Barnesville; son, Timothy Pupko and wife, Cynthia, Sugarloaf; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

An informal but meaningful memorial will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Four Blooms Restaurant, 668 N. Hunter Hwy., Drums.
