William H. "Bill" Barrett, 76, of New Philadelphia, passed away April 6 at the VA Hospital, Lebanon.

Born on Friday the 13th, 1941 in Covington, Ky., he was a son of the late Nathan and Eva Ballard Barrett.

Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force and a member of VFW. He was an interstate tractor-trailer driver for 46 years, in which he team drove with his wife for 10 years. Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and loved camping.

William is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane Kruell Barrett; son, James Barrett and wife, Kelli; granddaughter, Bailey, San Diego, Calif.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, New Philadelphia, with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner as celebrant. Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
