Mary V. Skosnick Obituary

Mary V. Skosnick, 77, of Saint Clair, passed away with her loving family by her side Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at her home.

Born Feb. 19, 1943, in Saint Clair, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Lucas) Summers.

Mary was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1962. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Saint Clair, where she volunteered with the pierogi sale. Mary was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and the former St. Casimir Church in Saint Clair. She enjoyed keeping her home and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Andrew Skosnick, on May 5, 1998, and a sister, Margaret (Summers) Small.

Mary is survived by her children, Lori Schuster and her husband, Charles, Michael Skosnick and his wife, Donna Langton, and Tricia Moyer and her husband, David; grandchildren, Caroline, Charlie, Corey, Bryan and his wife, Ellen, Jordan, Megan and Amanda; a brother, Joseph Summers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair, with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon. A private interment for the family will be held at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Port Carbon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Therese "The Little Flower Society," 1313 N.
