Florence Ann Bound Obituary

Florence Ann Bound, 82, of Kaska, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, she was the youngest child of Blanche Bendrick Parry and Issac Parry. Upon the sudden death of her mother, she was raised by stepmother, Anna Franko-Parry.

Florence, lovingly referred to as Annie by her family and friends, lived a full life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, she was known for always helping others in need, her strong work ethic and her kind heart.

Anna started working in the garment industry at an early age and became an excellent seamstress. Due to factory closures, she pursued her GED and higher education at Ford School of Business, Pottsville, obtaining a degree in business. She was employed by H.L. Miller and Sons, Orwigsburg.

For many years, she was a member of Holy Cross Parish, New Philadelphia, and Chapter No. 367 Order of Eastern Star, Cressona.

While raising her children in Kaska, her home served as a hub for family gatherings, always full of siblings and extended family spending time together.

In her free time, Annie enjoyed gardening, crafting and attending her grandchildren's activities. A devout Catholic, she maintained her strong faith throughout her life. Annie loved to be outdoors, whether it was camping, spending time at the ocean or in the backyard tending to her white ducks by her side.

Upon early retirement, Annie and Earl took to the road in their RV and enjoyed traveling the country between Florida and Arizona before returning home to PA.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 27 years, Earl Bound; grandson, Timothy Frymire; siblings, Margaret Yourdock, Harriet Lang, Gladys Kowalski, Dorothy Bianchini, John Parry, Joseph Parry and Frank Parry; niece, Dolores Yurdock.

She is survived by her three children, John Franko (Suzanne), Susane Frymire and Mark Franko (Janice); nine grandchildren, Justin Franko, Jordan Franko, Lisa Eveland (Paul), Jason Frymire (Amanda), Bryan Frymire, Megan Frymire, Blake Franko (Anna), Anna Franko and James Franko; eight great-grandchildren, James Eveland, Jacob Eveland, Clayton Eveland, Cayden Eveland, Ryan Frymire, Alyana Frymire, Dylan Frymire and Everett Frymire; three siblings, Pearl Green, James Parry and Donald Parry (Joy).

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the pandemic. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Holy Cross Church Memorial Fund, 99 Valley St., New Philadelphia, PA 17959. Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in care of arrangements.
