Richard H. Dengler, 78, of Airport Road, Ashland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born July 20, 1942, in Barry Township, he was a son of the late Russell and Anna (Bolich) Dengler. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School and was a member of Christ's United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. He worked for many years as a strip miner and later for Universal Forest Products, Gordon, until retirement. He was a member of Lavelle Fire Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane S. (Hinkel) Dengler, and a grandson, Kevin Holmes. Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Treo, Ashland, Melissa Klinger, Ashland, and Brenda Holmes, Ashland. A sister, Grace, Johnson, Ashland survives. Four grandchildren, William Holmes, Katlyn Klinger, Jamie Dengler and Daniel Witner; nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec.2, from Christ's United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. The Rev. Laura Csellak will officiate. Interment will be in Kimmels Cemetery, Barry Township. Viewing Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m at Christ's United Lutheran Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland, PA.
