Richard H. Dengler, 78, of Airport Road, Ashland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born July 20, 1942, in Barry Township, he was a son of the late Russell and Anna (Bolich) Dengler. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School and was a member of Christ's United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. He worked for many years as a strip miner and later for Universal Forest Products, Gordon, until retirement. He was a member of Lavelle Fire Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane S. (Hinkel) Dengler, and a grandson, Kevin Holmes. Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Treo, Ashland, Melissa Klinger, Ashland, and Brenda Holmes, Ashland. A sister, Grace, Johnson, Ashland survives. Four grandchildren, William Holmes, Katlyn Klinger, Jamie Dengler and Daniel Witner; nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec.2, from Christ's United Lutheran Church, Airport Road, Ashland. The Rev. Laura Csellak will officiate.
