Melvin Milton "Mert" Miller, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. Born Aug. 20, 1935, in Schuylkill Haven, he was a son of the late Milton and Sally Miller. Mert was formerly employed as a truck driver by Argo Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Madenford) Miller; daughter, Mary Miller; granddaughter, Abby Jo Miller. Mert is survived by a son, Melvin, husband of Linda Miller; grandson, Cody Miller, husband of Jessica; granddaughters, Brooklyn and Everly Miller; his longtime companion, Shirley Freeman.
