Betty G. Dolinsky, mother, grandmother, of Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, at 92 years of age. Born Wednesday, March 14, 1928, in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Bubines) Baer. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Dolinsky, on April 24, 1987. Surviving are sons, David Dolinsky and his wife, Laurie, of West Penn Township, Richard M. "Rick" Dolinsky and his wife, Michelle, of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Madelyn and Mason. A 1945 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Betty had worked at Atlas Powder Co., former Scraffords Restaurant, and in the textile industry. Most people knew Betty for her seamstress abilities. Betty hemmed many trousers, made numerous window treatments and adjustments to many gowns. Betty was an active member of Trinity U.C.C., Tamaqua. Betty served as elder emeritus, Sunday school superintendent, taught Sunday school, volunteered with the Catering Society and food pantry. Betty was the treasurer/secretary of Founders Hall. Betty was an accomplished bowler, still participating in local leagues, and never turned down an opportunity to visit the casinos. Private graveside services are entrusted to E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA 18252, 570-668-2550. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
