Dame Mary made a wonderful contribution to so many different areas of life in Scotland and beyond, and will be sadly missed. Whilst a Trustee, then Chair, of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland Dame Mary was a staunch champion of the voluntary sector and she left an indelible mark on the life of many and the foundation.

Mary was a much respected Chairman of the TSB Foundation for Scotland from 1992-97.

She contributed so much to the many charities supported by Foundation and also to the charitable sector as a whole
