Arnold Henry Luberda, age 64, of Foley, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville. The Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Friday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Arnold Luberda was born June 25, 1949 in St. Cloud, MN to Henry and Lauverne (Stellmach) Luberda. He married Patty Kieffer on May 8, 1971 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morrill. Arnold graduated from Foley High School in 1967 and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1970. He worked for Multi-Foods in Rice, Bauerly Brother's, DMZ Trucking, Nash Finch and also worked as an independent truck driver for many years. Arnold enjoyed snowmobile swap meets and motorcycles. He was an avid race fan and drag-car driver. He was a member of the NHRA, past member of the Gilman VFW, the Knight's of Columbus and St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patty, Foley; mother, Lauverne, Foley; sons and daughters, Becky (Scott) Jelinski, Little Falls, Lori (Mike) Kroska, Foley, Sherri (Brent) Krist, Milaca, Jesse, Foley, Josh (Kristin), Foley and Mandy and Kyle of Foley; brothers and sisters, Danny, Milaca, Kathy Luberda, Waite Park, Ronnie, Foley, Alan, St. Joseph, Murray, Champlin, Sharan Novak, Foley, Evie Gorecki, Foley, Carilyn Robak, Foley, Darrel, Foley, Corrine Luberda, Foley, Nick, Becker and Dallas, Foley, and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, brother, John, infant brother, Timothy, mother-in-law, Irene Kieffer and brothers-in-law, Gene and Norbert Kieffer.
