Iris was born January 20, 1929 in St. Cloud to Ida and Henry Studenski. She grew up in Popple Creek and later moved to St. Cloud where she spent the rest of her life. Iris married Delroy Behrend on October 17, 1948 and together, they had seven children. Iris had a beautiful smile, a listening ear and a caring heart that brought comfort to those who were honored enough to know her. She lived a joyful and thankful life. Her family was priceless to her and she enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with them. Iris was an active and dedicated member of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. She had an infinite love for Jehovah with her unfailing faith. Iris raised her children with that example of faith and taught them to have grateful hearts and happy souls. She was a homemaker and also worked part time at Herbergers for many years. Iris enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bible studies and traveling. She had a sweet tooth and her favorite color was pink. Iris was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She had a great sense of humor, a warm generous spirit and a love of life, which will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Iris is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Delroy Behrend of St. Cloud. She is also survived by her devoted children; Phyllis (Dale) Olson, Waite Park; Barbara (John) Kiffmeyer, St. Cloud; Douglas Behrend, St. Cloud; Deborah (Greg Jarrett) Behrend, St. Cloud; Kevin Behrend, St. Anna; Vicky (John) Rozycki, Pleasant Lake; Wanda (Kevin) Lutz, St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lancy Studenski, Popple Creek; Virgil (June) Studenski, Popple Creek, Ervin (JoAnne) Studenski, Minneapolis; and Betty Jane (Fritz) Hiltel, Sauk Rapids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Henry Studenski, and her siblings, Arnie Studenski, Marvin Studenski, Roger Studenski, and one grandchild, Cortney Olson.
With grateful hearts, the family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to all who cared for Iris with their compassion and love. We wish to give a special thank you to Deb Ritter and Jan Johnson, along with the entire staff from the St. Cloud Hospice Program for their love.

Iris was like a second mother to me only a little more fun. Don't tell Delroy, she would say after sharing an eidleweis with me. Two of the kindest people on earth and now there is one less until Jehovah decides it is time for her to live again. I'm sure her son Doug and I are responsible for some of the grey hairs she had to color . Miss you Iris. My heart goes out to you delroy and to your family. Much love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time of loss. I have many fond memories of Aunt Iris with my Dad and Mom (Marvin and Irene Studenski) at relative gatherings, Aunt Iris was always interested in how everyone was doing. May the many memories bring you all comfort and peace.
