This dedicated roofer bravely battled cancer before passing peacefully. He is preceded in death by his parents Art and Catherine. Ira is survived by his wife, Kathy; 4 children and their spouses; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters and their spouses; and a brother-in-law and his spouse. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ira on Monday, Dec. 23 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Ave., Rosemount with a gathering of family and friends Sunday, Dec 22 from 2 - 5 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and one hour prior to the mass at the church. Inurnment at a later date.

Ira Neary is a man whom I owe many values and ethics which I pride myself on. He spent countless hours talking with me about family work and roofing.
Because of Ira I was able to employ myself at any time with any trade. He gave me a shot when my father asked him to. In doing so I became part of the clan. I will always be a friend to the Neary's. Thanks Ira. To Kathy: I love you.
