Gerald D. "Jerry" Stowe Obituary
Gerald D. "Jerry" Stowe

St. Cloud - Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church for Gerald D. "Jerry" Stowe, age 75, of St. Cloud, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital, with family by his side. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church.

Gerald was born on December 2, 1942 to Aurele "Earl" and Josephine (Martineau) Stowe in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Glendoris "Sam" Ramler on May 26, 1975 in Albany. Jerry worked as the head baker for St. John's University and Byerlys in Minneapolis, retiring in 2002. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was affectionately known as Jer-Bear to his family. He had a mischievous streak, a wonderful sense of humor and loved teasing and joking around. Jerry was full of life. A self-taught man, he loved to build, fix and remodel every home that they lived in. He was an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his big heart, love of family and old time country music.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Glendoris; biological children, Laurie, Mark, and Julie; step-children, Stacie Stine, Andrea (John) Nelson, and Cynthia (Rick) Nelson; grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Joan Yozamp, LaVerle Inderieden, Luana Manuel and Richard; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Josie; siblings, Ardith Jean Stowe and John; and brothers-in-law, Bob Yozamp, Ron Manuel and Gerald Inderieden.

A special thank you to the physicians and nursing staff at the St. Cloud Hospital for their compassionate care of Jerry.

As Jerry used to say, "It'll pay for itself!"
