Lorraine A. Hill, 83

St. Cloud

May 23, 1931 - August 20, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Lorraine A. Hill, age 83, who passed away Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family.  Rev. Gerald Mischke will officiate and entombment will be at a later date at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.  St. Augustine Christian Mothers will pray at 4:30 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lorraine was born May 23, 1931 in rural St. Cloud to Leo & Bertha (Tauber) Bromenschenkel.  She married the love of her life, E. James "Jim" Hill on July 3, 1954 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  Lorraine lived in the St. Cloud area all of her life and worked at Mueller Reproduction for 47 years.  She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Augustine Christian Mothers.  Lorraine enjoyed gathering with family and friends.  She loved games, collecting things, and had a passion for cleaning, fixing and organizing.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jim of St. Cloud; children, Katherine (David) Husby of Cumberland, WI, Joan (Gary) Schmitt of Clear Lake, Joyce (Jesse) Drach of Huntsville, AL, Timothy of Lakeville, Anne Hill (Gary Markfort) of St. Cloud, and Robert of Clear Lake; siblings, Clarence, Leo, and James (Shirley) Bromenschenkel all of St. Cloud, and Patricia Rupar of Plymouth; brother-in-law, Gilbert Stock of St. Joseph; sister-in-law, Karen Bromenschenkel of St. Cloud; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Theresa Stock and Mary Bromenschenkel; brother, Raymond Bromenschenkel; and brother-in-law, Joseph Rupar.

Lorraine's family would like to thank St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for their compassionate and professional care.
