Clara Jo was born and grew up on a farm near Wessington Springs, SD. She attended college in Madison SD and studied to be a teacher. Clara Jo served in WWII as a civilian teaching Morse code to soldiers. She also headed a kitchen serving a battalion of men.
Clara Jo married I.W. "Irv" Taylor on March 9, 1944. Clara Jo was a full time mom after they adopted twin girls, Judie and Jayne in 1950. Irv was a JC Penney manager and they eventually settled in St. Cloud, MN.
Clara Jo had always been active in church and bridge clubs. She was a founding member of P.E.O. Chapter DT in St. Cloud. She was out- going and had many friends over the years.
Clara Jo is survived by her daughters; three grand- children; four great-grand-children; a sister-in-law; nieces, nephews and many friends who care about her.
Graveside services will be held in St. Cloud in the spring. Arr. by Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault 507-334-4481.
