1918 - 2010 Obituary Condolences
Myrtle E. Hoeft, age 92 of Paynesville died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Paynesville Area Hospital. The memorial service will be 11:00 am Monday, September 27th, 2010 at Grace Methodist Church in Paynesville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in rural Paynesville. Services are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville
Myrtle Emma Elizabeth Hoeft was born on March 28, 1918 in Paynesville the daughter of Lawrence and Martha (Wendland) Frank. She grew up in Paynesville where she attended Paynesville High School, graduating in 1935. On November 25, 1937, Myrtle was united in marriage to Steward Hoeft. To this union, two daughters were born. They made their home five miles north west of Paynesville where they farmed and she worked at the Paynesville Coop Creamery as a bookkeeper. Together, they were able to share in 57 years of marriage before Steward's death on September 22, 1995. After Steward's death, Myrtle moved into Paynesville where she has since resided.
She is survived by her daughters, June Steman of Blaine and Marie (Dan) Deadrick of Paynesville; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lois Frank and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steward; son-in-law, Melvin Steman; brother, Floyd Frank and parents.
