Richard W. Henkemeyer, 79

Sartell

June 13, 1934 - March 12, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Country Manor Chapel in Sartell for Richard W. Henkemeyer, age 79, who passed away Wednesday at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell. Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and entombment will be at Assumption Mausoleum in St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Saturday at Country Manor Chapel, Sartell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Richard W. Henkemeyer was born June 13, 1934 in St. Cloud to Walter & Marie (Gondeck) Henkemeyer. He married Jeanette Oelrich on July 30, 1955 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Dick lived in the Sauk Rapids area most of his life. He was a Butcher for 30 years at Landy Packing and also drove a garbage truck. Dick was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed woodworking, flower gardening, and bowling. Dick managed the Sauk Rapids and Sartell town baseball teams. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play baseball!

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of Sartell; sons and daughters, Kevin of Little Falls, Cindy (Tim) Vogel of Sauk Rapids, Richard (Cathy) of Sauk Rapids, Randall of Lakeville, and Barbara (Doug DeRosier) of Bloomington; brothers and sisters, Ken (Mae) of Tucson, AZ, Eileen Saldana of Blaine, Jerome (Kit) of St. Cloud, LeRoy (Sherri) of Sartell, Walter of Minneapolis, Mary (Jim) Schulte of Sartell, Carol (Ken) Schulte of Sartell, Linda of Sauk Rapids, and David (Deb) of Sauk Rapids; eight grandchildren, Angie, Joshua, Jacob, Kyle, Andy, Jill, Lisa, Kody; and six great grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phillip, Wayne, and Harold; sister, Shirley Henkemeyer; daughter-in-law, Cynthia; and sister-in-law, Mae.

Memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association, Parkinson's Association or Country Manor Health Care Center.
