Cecilia "Sue" Turch, age 97, of Sauk Rapids, MN, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, at Legends at Heritage Place in Sartell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids with Fr. Ralph Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25th and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26th all at the church.

There will be a Parish Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m on Sunday at the church.

Cecilia "Sue" Haus was born on January 19, 1918 in Jordan, Minnesota the daughter of George & Anna (Boeckmann) Haus. As a child, she moved with her family to St. Cloud where she attended St. Mary's Grade School and Cathedral High School. She was united in marriage to Alfred Turch on October 2, 1937 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. The couple lived in St. Paul, MN, Rockford, IL and eventually settled in Sauk Rapids, MN. In her earlier years, Sue worked as a waitress. Following her marriage, she worked alongside her husband at Turch Jewelry, which they began in 1947. Sue was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, the Sacred Heart Christian Mothers, a Past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella, as well as a faithful supporter of the Poor Clares. For many years, she was involved in the Republican Party serving as the 7th District Chairwoman and attended many national conventions. Sue lived a very full and beautiful life enjoying faith, family and friends. A special thank you to the staff and care providers of Legends at Heritage in Sartell for their loving care of Sue and support to the family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, David (Meridel) Turch of Lorton, VA, Richard (Peggy) Turch of Sauk Rapids, MN, Rita (John) Sandy of Northport, AL; son-in-law, Florian Gill of Clearwater, MN; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred in 1997; daughter, Gloria Gill; infant son, Mark Turch; and siblings, Greg and Norbert Haus and Genevieve Aten.
