Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Mardell Clara "Tootie" Libbesmeier, age 80, of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment will take place at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday both at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Tootie was born on November 19, 1935 in Sauk Centre to Roman and Johanna (Koch) Friedrichs. She married Roger F. Libbesmeier on November 22, 1958 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Tootie was a homemaker, raising four daughters with Roger. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Rita's Mission Group and St. Stephen's Mission Group.
Tootie treasured time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of very strong Catholic faith. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends, playing cards, traveling, golfing and biking.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger; daughters, Denise (Jeff) Kerr of Clear Lake, Diane (Dan) Priebe of Wausau, WI, Carol (Tony) Langerud of Faribault, Barb (Dan) Johnson of Mora; grandchildren, Christopher (Jenna) Koenig, David (Hailey) Koenig, Whitney Kerr, Lindsay Kerr, Grant Priebe, Austin Priebe, Lauren Langerud, Blake Langerud, Emma Johnson, Sam Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kyah, and Keelan; sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Harold) Bisel, Artie (Lila) Friedrichs, Bobbie (Junie) Friedrichs, Marcy (Terry) Heinen; and many nieces and nephews.
Tootie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sister, Vernie Friedrichs, Arlene Schmitt, and Dick Friedrichs.
