Margaret (Jacques) Jacobson Obituary
PORTSMOUTH - Margaret "Margie" E. (Jacques) Jacobson, 81, of New Castle, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at the Clipper Harbor Home in Portsmouth.

She was born on May 11, 1937, in Exeter, N.H. to Wallace and Marion (Wiggin) Jacques.

Margie was raised and attended schools in Portsmouth graduating from Portsmouth High School in 1955. As a "Portsmouth girl" she was especially proud of being named Miss Portsmouth in 1956, as well as first runner up in the 1956 Miss New Hampshire Pageant. She moved to New Castle in 1957 where she raised her family and lived well till early in 2018. She loved dearly the "Great Island" where she made many lifelong friends.

Her working career included time as a legal assistant at the law firm of Levy, Guptill and Winton as well as staff assistant for New Hampshire Profile magazine.

Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert A. Jacobson, who passed away in May 2018. She is survived by her children Marcia A. Call of Alexandria, Va., Mark T. Call of Hampton Falls, Michael R. Call of Scarborough, Maine, and stepson Robert A. Jacobson, Jr. of Raymond, Ohio, as well as her five granddaughters and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Priscilla Caswell of Greenland and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 98 Summer St., Portsmouth. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: New Castle Public Library, PO Box 329, New Castle, NH 03854.
