I came across this coincidentally but it caught my eye. Some say all Wongs are related (?) but we share a disease I hate. My brother David Wong, 1960-2010, passed from ALS and I don't carry my maiden name any longer but I will always be a Wong. I work at ALS TDI in Boston because of one mission:end ALS. My heartfelt condolences, Sue

I met Kip in high school, I would see him at parties and different events thru the years,he has always been a great guy.
They last few years we kept in touch by phone, last Saturday we were in touch. Kip inspired me with the grace he had shown all of us while fighting his courageous battle daily, yet he always made time to find the humor in things and continued to keep in touch and show his friend's his love.

I met Kip when I was in high school. He went to Franklin and I went to Rainier Beach. I always thought he was a good guy. Decades passed and we developed a friendship via Facebook. Through our correspondence on the site- I realized he was not a good guy, but a great guy. A one in a billion special person. Kip really enhanced my life. I was fortunate to see him last year and in 2014. I had planned on seeing him next Friday. I will miss Kip forever...

My husband and I met kip st a school open house for our daughters who were entering kindergarten . He sat in front of us and started cracking jokes and just had us laughing hysterically, I thought they were going to send us out. Many years and BBQ , camping, vacations later , even with this horrible disease, he kept this sense of humor, this way to put a smile on everyone's face and put all at ease. I spent a lot of time with kip since being diagnosed. I cared for him deeply. The man he was and became. We will miss you everyday kip. When you are looking down on us I will be looking back at you and remember you always with a smile on my face.

Dear Sue and family,
He was one of the kindest men I know. He was quick witted and funny! He loved his family, and worried about them. His battle with ALS gave us his perspective of the challenges that he met with humor and a bravery that was an example to all of us. He showed that you could be sick, but you can still help people. He was continually reassuring us. The void in our lives is huge, and I know he left us knowing he was loved. He will live on in our hearts. I hope he rests in peace knowing we will do all we can to help his family.

Dear Family,
I dont think i have ever known someone who fought as hard as Kip did to keep going. He just never gave up and was always so full of life. He loved his friends and family so much .Through his illness, he was so strong ,telling people what he was going thru and describing what was going thru his mind and heart. Kip , you will be missed very much.My prayers go out to the family. Thanks for the lessons..
