Ronald Diotte Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Harold Diotte

Ronald "Ron" Harold Diotte, 62, of Auburn, Washington passed away on Monday February 26, 2018.

Ron loved being with his family, especially his wife Debbi, and enjoyed camping, boating, RVing, swimming, fishing, traveling and being the handyman around the house. He was incredibly intelligent, witty and seemed to know "everything about everything" as his kids would say. He will be remembered for his kindness, big heartedness, intelligence, comical and charismatic character.

Ron was born in Bourne, Massachusetts, to Richard (deceased) and Patricia Diotte. He graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 1974. Ron received his Associate Degree in Broadcast Engineering from Graham Junior College in 1976 located in Boston, Massachusetts. He worked at KTWO TV and Radio in Casper, Wyoming from 1977 to 1981. He was more recently employed at KSTW TV (CBS Corp.) and worked as Chief Broadcast Engineer with 35 faithful and dedicated years of service.

On June 26, 1982 he married Debbi Diotte, she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Patricia Diotte of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, his daughter Nicole Coughlin (Shannon) of Castle Rock, Colorado, son Matthew Diotte who is in the United States Air Force. The memorial service will be held March 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. (PST) at Yahn & Sons in Auburn, Washington.

A lotta days late and a bunch of dollars short. I met Ron in Grass Valley, California where we were both learning how to maintain and repair the Grass Valley 300-3A video production switcher console. This class spanned a week and a half, so Ron and I headed off to Lake Tahoe where a friend/relative (can't remember which) was getting married. We had a wonderful time and that's the only time I've ever been to Lake Tahoe. I've tried unsuccessfully to get hold of him over the years, but never quite managed it - I'd cann the station and just miss him or some or the like. I've thought of him often after retiring from KVOA TV in Tucson and decided today to try to get hold of him...and I find this. 73's, Ron, I've thought of you often over the years, please Rest In Peace.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ron. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure when it fills your heart with love and brings you joy. May you find comfort in Jesus promise of the hope of everlasting life at John 6:40.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the family . It's in times like these when the loving promises of our Heavenly Father, like that of seeing your dear loved ones again, can bring you comfort and can even soften some of the pain that you are feeling deep in your hearts.-1Thessalonians 4:13,14*

Sorry to see Ron is gone.
Know you since 1980s.
You have my respect and miss your presence. I first met you at KSTW Tacoma and spotted you intermittently since. You are good engineer and God needs one.
