Harold R. PIPER After a short illness, Hal Piper passed away at the age of 90 on March 20, 2011. A long time resident of Kirkland, and engineer at Boeing, Hal was an avid golfer and Rotarian. He leaves behind a daughter Pam, grandchildren Susan and Erin, and great-grandchildren, Max and Emmet. He was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed. His memorial service will be at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kikland, April 9, at 2:00. Instead of flowers please donate to the Red Cross for the Japanese relief effort.

I had the pleasure of working with Hal for several years. He took his work seriously and demanded that others do the same. But his demands were often tempered with an encouraging word and usually a good story or two. I am grateful for the times we had together.

I enjoyed working with Hal during our time at Boeing. He was a steady head in solving problems and a good engineer.

Hal was a respected engineer at Boeing. He was involved in the investigation of many airplane accidents.
