Carol Jeanne (Lenzie) Blanchard

Carol Jeanne (Lenzie) BLANCHARD Carol Jeanne (Lenzie) Blanchard passed away February 19, 2011 at Swedish Hospital. Born June 7, 1933 in Seattle to Carl and Dorothy Lenzie, she attended Jefferson Grade School, Madison Junior High and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1952. She met Jack Blanchard in November 1952 on a blind date and married him on May 27, 1955. She is survived by her husband Jack; son Jim of Soap Lake, WA; daughter Dodie Dahl of Burien, WA; 3 grandsons Brian Dahl, Steven Dahl and Kyle Dahl and 2 granddaughters Karyn Blanchard and Kimberly Williams; 2 great granddaughters Samantha Williams and Kaitlyn Williams; her brother Bob Lenzie and sister Patti Stambaugh, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was involved in the leadership of the West Seattle Soccer Club, the West Highline Soccer Club and the Highline Soccer Association. She traveled with her Husband on his business trips. She took her entire family on a wonderful Disney Cruise to the Caribbean. Carol and Jack built a log cabin on her family's property at Snoqualmie Pass. A memorial Service is scheduled for March 5th at 2PM at the Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home in West Seattle. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations be made for care of the bears at The Woodland Park Zoo.
