Hi Glynn! I am with my friends tonight who worked at Safeway decades ago and Holly came to mind. I wanted to send my deepest condolences for your loss a year ago. I had no idea I could leave this message for you and family online. I am praying for you and your family that your memories are bringing you much joy! Warmest regards Joni Bisset. [email protected]

What a caring person we have lost. It was a privilege to see Holly at the store and to talk so very briefly to her. She took her work very seriously and did an outstanding job! Our community lost a wonderful person who was an example of a great worker. We will miss her and I, for one, had no idea she was battling cancer. Blessings on the family, as she is looking down on us now and smiling!

Our family moved to Newcastle, WA in early 1980's. We knew Holly during the 27 years she worked at Newcastle Safeway. What a kind-hearted, encouraging person! Our parents especially, enjoyed talking with Holly.
She took time for everyone of any age, always remembering names..Happily sharing of her own life: the family she loved so much, playing pickle ball..the important daily family life events, she took so much pleasure in.
When our parents died in 2002 & 2004--Holly offered support & reassurance. What an inspirational person. Holly had a gifted outreach approach. She dealt with others one-on-one. You could see how much the coworkers, liked Holly ..with her ready smile & upbeat energetic personality-plus! Holly will be remembered & missed, for the care & concern she gave freely to others.
We send our thoughts & prayers out for
Holly's dear family, her friends, coworkers..and all who knew Holly...

I have known Holly since 2nd grade. I have the 2nd grade class picture she asked to see after our last reunion. I will bring it to the memorial. Holly and I kept running into each other with our kids in tow for years.
Holly's passing has touched me deeply.

When we moved to Newcastle in 1988 and became a regular at the CoalCreek Safeway, Holly took the time to remember us by our name. She always greeted us with a smile and took care of all her customers with respect. I would always look for her face at the store and made sure I got in her checkout line to say Hello or talked to her at the customer service counter. We are saddened to hear that she is not physically with us, but she is always with us in memory. Our thoughts are with her family.

We will always remember Holly. My kids who are now adults worked with Holly at Safeway. Holly always asked how everyone was doing and took the time to find out how we were. Holly was a beautiful person and we are so very sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. The O'Brien Family
