Long time Enumclaw resident Michael S. Binetti passed from this life to his Heavenly Maker on Oct. 26, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Loseto, Italy on March 20, 1926. He immigrated to America with his mother and sister, arriving at Stampede Pass, Washington in February 1935, joining his father who was employed there by the Northern Pacific Railroad.

At the age of 18 he proudly served his country in the Army artillery during WW II. After being honorably discharged from the Army he attended Central Washington University earning his B.A. in Education and later earning his Masters' Degree in Administration from PLU. He started and ended his 30-year teaching career at J.J. Smith Elementary School; 16 years as a classroom teacher and 14 years as the building principal.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy and the V.F.W.

He is survived by his loving wife Lena of 63 years, son Joseph E. Binetti (Marianne), daughter Rose Marie Leggett (John), his beloved grandchildren: Angela Schmidt (Joseph), Nicole Davis (Joseph), Michael "Tony" Binetti (Jennifer), Alisa Binetti; four and a half cherished great-grandchildren and brother John N. Binetti of Auburn. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rosa Binetti, his sister Frances Ficele and brother Joseph Binetti Jr.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at 12:00 noon, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Enumclaw, followed by entombment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way. Rosary will be on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at 7:30pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Enumclaw.

Memorials may be made to the Monsignor Farrelly Scholarship Fund, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Enumclaw.
