Obituary Condolences

Aleatha Joy (Jellum) IACOLUCCI Aleatha Joy (Jellum) Iacolucci passed away on March 29, 2011 in the company of her family. Aleatha was born on November 27, 1931 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and moved to Seattle during her childhood. She graduated from Roosevelt High in 1949. Shortly thereafter, she met Hank Iacolucci and they were married on January 5, 1952. Aleatha joined Hank on Beacon Hill and they were active in their children's schools (St. Edward's, O'Dea and Holy Names) for many years. Besides raising her three children, Aleatha worked at several positions before embarking on a 22 year career at O'Dea High School. She was a mother and friend to many young men who attended O'Dea. Throughout her lifetime, but particularly after her retirement from O'Dea, she and Hank enjoyed traveling together, and entertaining family and friends. She was an extraordinary Nani to her six grandchildren; nothing pleased her more than spending time with them and watching them grow up. She was a supportive, loving, optimistic and patient wife, mother and grandmother. She always had time for her family. She was preceded in death by her sisters Marie Wade and Lois Dehne, and by her brother Philip Jellum. She is survived by her husband, Hank Iacolucci; three children, Melinda, Mike (and wife Martha) and Jamie (and wife Debbie); 6 grandchildren, Michael and Katie Crafton, and Adam, Mark, Jared and Angela Iacolucci; a great granddaughter, Mia Iacolucci; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to O'Dea High School or to your favorite charity. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Edward's Church on Saturday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow in the parish hall.
