Anne Pupo Obituary

Anne PUPO Age 87 of Seattle. Widow of Joseph. Proprietor of Pupo's Restaurant, Bellevue. Mother of Joe, Len, Paul, Mike, and JoAnne Pupo. Sister of Rose and Mary Balsom. Grandmother of Giovanni, Koji, Michael, Antonina. Born in Termini, Sicily in 1917, Anne immigrated to St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada in 1929. There she bloosmed into a beautiful young woman. In her many trips to Niagra Falls, Anne met her husband Joe, whom she married in 1942. They moved to Spokane, WA in 1954 where she dedicated her life to raising her children. Anne was one of the best cooks ever, only her baking exceeded her cooking. After 10 years of sharing her talents with the world in the restaurant industry in Spokane and Bellevue, Anne retired to Las Vegas after the passing of her husband of 48 years in 1990. Anne became an active member of St. Jude's and the Italian American Club of Las Vegas. She also developed a keen interest in video poker, where she played many hands, garnered many friends and won numerous Royals. Her last Royal was hit on the Penny Machine's a day before she retired to the big casino in the sky. Anne moved back to Seattle in 2000 where she enjoyed the constant companionship of Gabby, the dachshund, Gigi the cat and the uncompromising love and care from her daughter JoAnne and JoAnne's partner, Michelle Wisener. Anne was a friend to all, a Christian to be remembered, a mother to be honored, a wife to be loved an a woman of character and grace. Memorial Mass 10AM Wed.
