Arthur Hansen Obituary

Arthur "Norm" Norman HANSEN Age 86, passed away February 29, 2008 in Seattle, Washington. Norm was born in Seattle on February 12, 1922. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1939 and from the University of Washington in Forestry in 1943. He served in the Army in the South Pacific during WWII, returning to work for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources from 1946 to 1978, and then with The Army Corps of Engineers from 1978 to 1996. Norm is survived by Jean, his bride of 57 years; their three children and daughter-in-law Eric and Jane Hansen of Buckley, WA, Steven Hansen of Woodinville, WA and Gail Hansen of Shoreline, WA; his grandchildren Todd and Sara Hansen of Golden, CO and Leif Hansen of Buckley, WA. Visitation will be held at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, Seattle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church. Arrangements under the direction of Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle.
