Obituary Condolences

Barbara M. LEASK One of nine children, Babs passed away on March 13, 2011. She was born in Hydaburg, Alaska on April 21, 1932 to Ed and Leona Hamilton. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Irving Leask, Sr., daughters Judy (Tom) Leask Guthrie and Cissy (David) Leask-Lovell and son Irv, Jr., (Marilyn), ten grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Nancy Phillips and Jesse Carlson of Sitka. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and participated in its many activities, especially the choir. Babs was a graduate of Sheldon Jackson High School, Sitka, Alaska. She worked for the USPS in Metlakatla, Alaska and in Seattle. An excellent cook and baker, she also loved spending summers in Alaska smoking fish. Celebration of Life services willbe held on Friday, March 18, 2011, 5:00 p.m. at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Seattle's Discovery Park.
