Obituary Condolences

Barbara Ann McAlester WILLIAMS Barbara Ann McAlester Williams passed away in Bellevue Washington on February 10th, 2011 at the age of 77. Her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on December 31, 1933 in Marin County, CA. Growing up in Santa Rosa, California, she worked in her aunt's "juice bar". Soon after, she met her future husband Herb on a blind date and the two were married December 1st, 1950. They were married for 60 wonderful years. A Bellevue resident since 1962, Barbara was the most kindhearted and generous person anyone could know. She had an "unconditional and non-judgmental" love for those who were in her life. She was sweet, beautiful, ladylike, and very special. Barbara was known as the "neighborhood Mom" during her kids' school years in Newport Hills. Everyone called her "Mom" whether related to her or not. Barbara enjoyed boating with her family, reading suspense and mystery novels, and loved to watch her favorite soap operas. Most of all, she enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She had many long term friends. As a wife, she traveled with her husband to Australia, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. She was a devoted, loving and nurturing wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Herb, her children Sandra, Herbert Jr., and Earl, and her grandchildren, Jason, Andy, Nolan, Chad, Reese and Charlie. She was dearly loved and she will be painfully missed. "Goodbye Honey, Goodbye Mom. Goodbye Barb, Goodbye Grandma, Goodbye Nana. We all love you. We will miss you. We will always remember you." Remembrances may be made to The Wounded Warriors' Project.
