Barbara Robbins ANDERSON January 1, 1914 ~ February 21, 2011 Barbara was the second daughter of Philip E. Robbins and Jean Wilson Robbins of Seattle. She spent her early years in Enumclaw and later returned and settled in Seattle. She attended Garfield High School where she met her sweetheart Carl Warren Anderson. After attending the University of Washington they married on October 15, 1938. They lived in Kirkland in the earl 1940's and Barbara gave birth to their two children Philip Warren and Christine Susan. In 1945 they moved to Seattle where Barbara worked as a home maker and lovingly raised her family. In 1957 the family relocated to California and lived in San Marino until the children graduated from High School. Barbara and Warren also lived in Newport Beach and King City, California. In 1980 they retired and returned to Washington where they built a home on Nesika Bay in Poulsbo. Barbara enjoyed playing golf and bridge as well as tending her flowers and boating and fishing with Warren. Barbara worked with and enjoyed teaching pre-school children throughout the years and was always a child advocate. She and Warren moved across the sound in 1988 to live at Emerald Heights, a senior living facility. Barbara's husband preceded her in death by eight years. She is also preceded by her two sisters Jane Baker and Kate Taylor. All three sisters were members of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at the U of W and enjoyed having that in common throughout the years. Barbara is survived by her son and daughter, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In lieu or flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to First Place, P.O.
