Blanche Ligare Lindmark Obituary
Blanche Ligare Lindmark

Born July 7, 1929 in Highland Park, IL; died Christmas Day 2017 at her adult family home in Shoreline.

Survived by children Ref (Wendy)

and Harry (Christine); 4 grand-children Michael (Kelly), Matthew (Jessica), John (Hayley) and Rhys; sister Kathleen and her children and families, and the children of her brother Kenneth who preceded her.

Blanche was an amazing woman. She was a teacher who, after she retired in San Diego, joined the Peace Corps and worked for two years in Ecuador. She relocated to Seattle, but she kept up her travels and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Global Volunteers. She crocheted blankets and hats for seniors with her friends at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, and she was known as the "Gravy Lady" at the Blessed Sacrament St. Vincent de Paul Sunday Dinner where she volunteered for over ten years. Blanche loved to walk, play bridge, read books, do puzzles, and plan trips.

Blanche was adored by her family, friends, and those who cared for her. Blanche had a way of winning people over with her sense of humor, her genuine kindness and humility, and her infectious spirit that will be missed by all.
