Constance Connie Hayden Obituary
Constance "Connie" Hayden

1933 ~ 2018

On September 1, 2018, our family said goodbye to Connie. Connie passed away peacefully and on her own terms. She was 85 years old. Connie is survived by her husband of 60 years Tom Hayden. Connie was a wonderful mother to her two sons, Mark and Scott. She loved spending time with her two grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon. Connie spent her life in the Seattle area and after graduating from the University of WA, began a career in public education. She was a teacher and librarian in the Highline School District. She found her passion in teaching children and youth. Connie loved learning and especially found pleasure in teaching at the elementary school level. After a full career, Connie retired and pursued her next passion, golf. She became an avid golfer and surrounded herself with friends who were as passionate about the sport as she was. Connie's extended family includes her fellow graduates from Lincoln High School, her fellow retired teachers and librarians, bridge group, and golf group. Her circle of friends was immense and a testament to Connie's charisma, character, sense of humor and outgoing personality. Although often mistaken for Phyllis Diller and Mrs. Roper, there was only one Connie.

She will be truly missed by all those who knew her and as Connie would say "she was the luckiest person in the world to have all the close friends who allowed her to be a part of their lives." Connie, you will be missed. We love you!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to on behalf of Connie Hayden.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held at Foster Golf Course on September 29th

from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
