Edward B. WEILER Obituary
Edward B. WEILER

June 25, 1950 ~ June 8, 2015

Ted's big, generous heart finally gave out on him. He left us to soar with the hummingbirds, suddenly and unexpectedly, on a beautiful June morning. He will be remembered not only for his love of those tiny birds but for his brilliant mind, clear thinking, and gentle guidance. He was the most thoughtful, caring, and supportive friend we could have, and he had a profound ability to help us find the best path, whether daughter, wife, friend, or colleague. His most satisfying accomplishment was seeing his daughters develop into successful, happy adults. His proudest achievement was conducting an international clinical trial on cooling the heads of babies suffering injury during birth, a procedure that provided a cure for a previously incurable disease.

He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Nancy Weiler, and sister Peggy Weiler, of St. Louis. He will be eternally missed by his wife, Marie, his soulmate for more than 30 years, and by his daughters, Carrie Kuehn (Chris) of Snohomish, Kate Fuhrman (Robert) of Lake Stevens, and Jolie Faulkner (Mike) of Portland. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Weiler (Mark Myers), sisters Ann Price (Patrick) and Betsy Musick (Don), granddaughters Kirsten and Abby Fuhrman and Aivlene Kuehn, and grandson Adler Faulkner, as well as many nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.
