Edward L. PUGEL Edward L. Pugel, born in 1922 in Pueblo CO. Grew up in Longview WA. Attended St. Martin's College until interrupted by WWII. A proud member of the 69th infantry Division serving in Europe, he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery and latterly served as an interpreter during the investigation of war crimes. Following the war, he began his 40+ year career with Longview Fibre Co. He lived on Queen Anne and Magnolia where he and his wife, Evelyn (Hockett) raised eight children: Tom, Chris (Walt Zabriskie), Dan, Cathy (Mike Stangland), Matt (Libby), Anne (Al Moore), Beth and Michelle. He was an active member of St Anne's and Our Lady of Fatima parishes. A former member of Rainier G&CC, Ed enjoyed all sports, but particularly excelled at his favorite sport, baseball. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, and is survived by his wife, Echo (Forsyth) Pugel and his brother, James D. Pugel. Ed was particularly proud of his grandchildren.
