Eugene (Blackie) Blackmer

Eugene (Blackie) Blackmer, age 92, of Shoreline, passed away on July 15, 2014. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on March 26, 1922. Blackie is survived by sons, David W. Blackmer and wife Diana, Daniel E. Blackmer and wife Sue; grandchildren David Blackmer and wife Kristy, Matthew Blackmer and wife Jenny, Adam Blackmer and wife Janell, Ben Blackmer, Rachael Blackmer and husband Joel, Danielle Resendez and husband Roli; 8 great grandchildren; sister in law Ruth Letson & husband Del and niece, Linda Cunningham. Blackie is also survived by a host of friends. Blackie retired from Boeing after 34 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff at Crista for their loving care. A private interment will be held at Abbey View Cemetery in Brier. Arrangements are under the care of Evergreen - Washelli Funeral Home.
