Evelyn Nanette Nickerson
Evelyn Nanette Nickerson, 98, was born in Victoria, BC, her parents moved to Seattle when she was 6 and lived there until 1934 when she married Harold D. Chatfield and they lived in Shoreline until 1962 when he passed away. Later she married Donald K. Nickerson. He passed away in 1984. They had a very happy life together, skiing, traveling in their motor home seeing Canada Mexico and most of the United States. They also loved to boat and fish.
She worked at the Worlds Fair in 1962, was a volunteer at Stevens Hospital, Edmonds, WA. for 12 years, volunteered for Sea Fair, was a King County Ombudsman of nursing homes and helped in schools for developing children.
In 1986 she moved to Mountlake Terrace. She was a long time member of the Mountaineers, belonged to the Puget Sound Yacht Club, Parkview Guild of The Seattle Childrens Hospital, Edmonds Welcomers and the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center.
Evelyn enjoyed dancing, swimming, playing bridge, going on cruises to most of the countries of the world, fishing, hiking, entertaining, cooking, gardening and walking.
Evelyn passed away on August 20th and a graveside service was held on August 22nd at Evergreen-Washelli. She leaves behind a daughter Carol L.

Philip N. Flash, Seattle, WA; 3 Grand-children and 3 Great Grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
