Georg NAPSTAD Age 84, passed away Tuesday the 17th of February at his home in Arlington, WA. He was born in Gjorvik, Norway, where he met and married Jorunn Kjendseth from Biri, Norway. After serving as a decorated veteran of WWII, he lived in Seattle and later came to reside in Arlington. He worked as a ferry boat captain and retired as a marine surveyor from National Cargo Bureau. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jorunn Napstad; three children, Sissel (Andrew), Audrey (Robert), Rolf (Laura), grandchildren; Simon (Danielle), Adam, Ashley , George, Carson and Kurtis . An Open House, for friends and family will be held on his 85th birthday, Sunday, March 1st from 1:00 to 5:00 at their home in Arlington. Donations may be made to Everett Providence Hospice or NOAH Shelter. Dad, yes, we will miss you and your special sense of humor. We love you.

Geog was a good man and a good Mason. I had the pleasure of coaching him when he joined Maritime Lodge 239 and have thought about him nany times over the years.
