Gerald W. FOSTER Age 68, of Bainbridge Island, WA lost his battle with cancer on January 18, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 12, 1942 in Deadwood City, SD and later moved to Boise, ID. At 17 he joined the Idaho Air National Guard becoming a fire fighter. In 1960 he graduated from St. Martins College, Olympia, WA. Jerry was a Regional Vice President for Saga Corporation and during that time ran the food service on the Wash. State Ferries, as well as other key businesses on the west coast. He was an owner of The Frankfurter Restaurants for many years, and more recently became a familiar face at Safeco Field managing Centerplate's food service program on the Club Level. Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Renee St. Onge Foster and his six children, Aaron (Jane), Adam (Erin), Ryun, Robin, Roxanne, and Jordan Foster and his five grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Bainbridge Island on Feb. 5th at 10:00 A.M. A haufbrau open house will follow at the Bainbridge Commons from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M.
