I was a good friend of Scott's and Mike's in high school. Our family grew up just down the street from the Strathy house. Both Glenn and Jean were always very welcoming whenever I would come over. Jean would always make sure that there was food available if I was hungry!
As you all know, Glenn loved basketball even after the boys stopped playing. About 10 years ago and for several years after, myself, John Fair and sometimes Scott would get together a few times during the season to watch the Mountlake Terrace boys basketball games. John and myself would show up about 30 minutes before the varsity game. Guess who was already there sitting behind the scorers table!! Glenn. He would come early to watch the J.V. game. We were always greeted by a big smile and a half hug. Glenn would always ask how we were doing and inquire about our families.
After we were seated, he would stand up and point at us on his way to the concession stand and say " popcorn and licorice! " Glenn would already be on his way down before we could even get into our wallets!! He would always treat. I will always miss those special times with him and when I get up to the pearly gates to visit my friend I will say "popcorn and licorice" on me this time!!! Rest in peace my friend!! SEE YA..Mike Greenleaf

I spent quite a bit of time at the house with Scott in the early 80's, we did some election related work together, played basketball, etc. Mr. and Mrs. Strathy were always welcoming and so gracious. My condolences to Mrs. Strathy, Scott, and the family. One of the good guys has moved on to claim his reward for a life VERY well lived. God bless.
