Gordon McDowell passed away in Seattle, Washington on November 16th, 2014 at the age of 85. He was born, 1 of 11 children, to Thomas Wilfred & Dollie Bruce McDowell on August 29th, 1929 in Toronto, Ontario. Gordon graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Washington, and from there, went on to achieve his Bachelor's Degree in Advertising Journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle. He joined the U.S. Army in August of 1953, and served as a Corporal Clerk Typist and eventually a Stenographer. Corp. Gordon McDowell was awarded a National Defense Service Medal during his time served, and was honorably discharged from active military service in May of 1955. He married Lannita Agnes Qually on February 27, 1959 in Seattle. Together, Gordon and Lannita had one daughter, Tracey McDowell. Following his military career, Gordon worked in Printing Sales & Management before retiring in 1996. Gordon enjoyed many pastimes including camping, biking, jogging, gardening, traveling and visiting with his beloved family. He was also a parent volunteer at Shoreline Schools, a member of the Printing Industry of America, and a member of the CIMTA.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Jim, Ed, Earl and Bob, his sister, Ruth, and his wife, Lannita. He is survived by his brother, Charles, and his 4 sisters, Doreen, Alice, Betty and Mary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his daughter, Tracey.
