Harold VENABLE Born January 7, 1922, died peacefully on April 11, 2012. He is reunited with his wife of 64 years, Virginia, who died January 3, 2012. Harold was born in Seattle where he graduated from Lincoln High School. He was a World War II veteran and the owner of Seattle Window Shade Co. in downtown Seattle 30 years. As a long-time member of St. Luke Parish, he was particularly involved with the work of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was also the#1 supporter of his children's and grandchildren's academic, artistic and athletic endeavors. Harold is survived by his sister, Ethel Woodhouse; and his children, Jennifer Boyle, Judy Venable (Markus Hallensleben), Pam Reuhl (Steve), Mike Venable (Sue) and Carol Yund. He also leaves grandchildren, Anthony Venable, Brianna Venable, Adam Reuhl, David Reuhl (Taylor), Christopher Boyle, Daniel Boyle, and Gina Hallensleben. He was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Michael Boyle. There will be a recitation of the Rosary on Thursday, April 19th, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, April 20th, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following. All ceremonies will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 322 N. 175th St., Shoreline. Interment at Holyrood Cemetery will take place after the reception. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Luke Parish, 322 N. 175th St., Shoreline, WA 98133.
