Jeanette Marie Woldseth

July 27, 1953 ~ February 19, 2018

Jeanette Woldseth passed away on February 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Gloria and brother George. She is survived by her brother Brian and sister Diane Cruver (Howard) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanette was the first professional woman firefighter in the state when she joined the Bellevue Fire Department in 1977. Both her father and grandfather were firefighters. Jeanette rose through the ranks and became captain in October 1985. She is the great-great granddaughter of pioneer Aaron Mercer who, in 1869, settled Bellevue. Jeanette traveled extensively, played soccer, was an avid Mariner's and Sounder's fan and in the last several years, supported cancer research through Fred Hutch's Obliteride.

There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, April 14, 1:00 pm at Westminster Chapel, Bellevue, Wa.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Obliteride team: Jeanette's Cancer Crushing Crusaders.
