He is preceded in death by his Mother, Georgina Rowland Wilson and his Father, John Laurence Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Benjamine H. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Kauri and Inanna Wilson, Jacob, Cecily and Melanie Benson, Kelsey, Lauren and Elise Arkills. He also leaves behind his three cousins Donald (Linda) Pennel of Los Angeles, Bob Pennel (Addi) of Seattle and Mary (Kenny) Nelson of Portland, Maine, whom he considered to be like brothers and sister.

John attended Lakeside school and graduated from Roosevelt H.S. and The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.

He was an Air Force Reservist for 6 years following his graduation from UPS

His professional career with the Boeing Co. spanned over three decades including three years in England as Procurement Manager of the AWACS Offset Program. While in England he and Benjamine travelled extensively, a shared passion.

John was an avid and excellent skier, artist, traveller and collector of all things related to automobile memorabilia. He could fix most anything and was a thoroughly orderly man.

At John's request there will be a private family "inurnment" at Tacoma Cemetery at a later date.
