I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Katie. I went to high school with her. I sat next to her in biology class freshman year. I am not much of a science person but I enjoyed that class in part because of partnering with Katie. Even though we did not keep in touch after high school I feel like I am a better person for having known her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

Katie will always be remembered for her ability to interact with anybody and respect people for their character. Most importantly, she was just fun to be around. To say she left too early is an understatement. No doubt there's a huge void on earth left by her departure.

The first time I visited the wonderful Parker family in WS, Katie gave a demonstration of Irish dancing - she was so gracious and beautiful, as well as genuinely friendly to Mary Margaret's "boss"! I am deeply saddened at her loss, as well as Neil's, which I did not know of until now. My prayers are with her family. God be with you and give you peace.

I can't imagine the grief this family must be experiencing in light of the earlier death of the Parker's son, Neil. To lose one child is unbearable; two is unfathomable. My heart goes out to your family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Katie's death. I was in her grade at OLG, and remember her with a smile on her face. She had a lightness of being that was beautiful to see, and she was such an amazing dancer. I was always a little in awe of her grace, given I was (and still am!) so clumsy. When I think of her, I'll remember that grace and that smile. Much love to your family.

With great sympathy to you and your family at this time. I had the honor of meeting Katie many years ago. Katie was always very sweet to me and acknowledged me everytime we saw one another. Sincerely Thoughtful Israel
