Kevin Anthony Rowland

Born January 9, 1971 in Seattle, WA; died August 29, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. He graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School in 1989 and Shoreline Community College in 1997. Kevin worked as a phlebotomist but his real passion was river rafting. Kevin spent 13 years as a river rafting guide for River Recreation, traveling the rivers of the Pacific Northwest every weekend of the season.

He is survived by his mother, Bridget; his father Finian (Sally); siblings, Ann Bitzer (Rich), Kathleen, Teresa O'Leary (Stewart) and Patrick (Michelle); a large extended family; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Martin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 6th at 3 PM at St. Matthew Parish, 1240 NE 127th St, Seattle, 98125.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Northwest Kidney Center,
