Kurt and I hired on at UP a week apart in July of 1979. He had a colorful personality and more nicknames than anyone I know! He could twist management's arm better than anyone. He got them to do periodic Safety Feeds, and managed to get steak for us to boot! When I told him I preferred salmon, by golly, he got it! We all have great memories of Kurt.
(That's Jack Miller in the picture with Kurt. Kurt's grilling hamburgers for the troops at UPMF.)
