Lucy Ann CROW Lucy passed away April 27, 2011 at the age of 92. Born in Ural, Russia in 1918, Lucy, her mother, and older sister escaped the Bolshevik Revolution by traveling across Siberia to join her father in China and immigrate to the US in 1923. Lucy graduated early from Broadway High, attended Cornish School, and earned a Masters in Bacteriology from the U of W. Lucy enlisted in the Waves, attained the rank of Lt. JG, and served during WWII managing laboratories at several military hospitals. Lucy and local surgeon Donald R. Crow wed in 1948 and in 1960 she began a 30-year career teaching Science and Health in Seattle schools including Sharples and Franklin. On Dr. Crow's passing in 1991 Lucy moved to Providence Pt. Issaquah and began another phase of life with new friends and activities. Lucy is survived by sister Gloria Burke Elks, sons Rod and Don Crow (Gail), daughters Leslie Crow (Terry Stipe) and Lori Tyler (George), and grandchildren Connor Tyler, Sascha Stipe, Esther Crow, and Sarah Crow. A Donation to Medic One in lieu of flowers is suggested. A celebration of Lucy's life and an open house will be held on Sunday June 12 from 2 to 5pm in the Providence Point Community Clubhouse, 4135 Providence Pt. Drive, Issaquah, WA.
