Paul C. Leaf

Paul C. Leaf was 84 when he went into the loving arms of the Lord on Monday January 7, 2019.

Paul was born May 22, 1934 near Greeley, Colorado. He obtained a B.A. from Colorado State College of Education and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. In 1952 Paul married Patricia (Pat) Engel in Greeley, Colorado. After teaching public school music for ten years in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma he worked for a music store.

He moved to Seattle in 1969 with his family where he was a manager at a music publisher of the Seattle wholesale and retail division. Paul was a driving force at Capitol Music in Seattle until his retirement in March 2002.

He directed the choir at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Shoreline for 27 years until his last concert in May 2004. After his work at Calvin, Paul formed a nondenominational choir to raise money through its performances for Bible Camps in Ukraine.

In 1982 he and Pat began hosting over 50 different college students in their home from 10 different countries for over 30 years.

He was married and devoted to Pat for 63 years until her passing in 2015.

He is survived by his daughter Christine Chesak (Harold) of Federal Way; his daughter Pamela Leaf of Lynnwood and his daughter Anita Craft (Jim) of Whidbey Island, a sister-in-law Frances Hakanson (Ronald) in Colorado, a sister-in-law Reena Leaf in Colorado and a brother- in- law Fredrick (Rosemarie) in California.

Paul loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his wife, his family, his music, directing choir, square dancing and taking trips in the motor home with Pat. He was loved and will be missed by all he touched.
