We lost track of Pete in recent years but thought of him while hiking Early Winters in Mazama this week. And we found this. Pete was our first landlord, neighbor, and friend when we moved to Seattle many decades ago—what a great welcome—and a few years later was a witness to our Guemes Island elopement (he may have even masterminded it!) and after that hosted my only child’s baby shower. Pete was right there for a few milestones in our lives. Wonderful memories that will be forever cherished.

I worked with Pete at the Edmonds Ferry dock decades ago. I always enjoyed his personality and easy going nature. Our kids were similar ages and we swapped stories of their achievements. What a great guy......RIP, Pete

I knew you so long ago... way back when we were all young entrepreneurs and parents during the hayday of the Pike Street Market. I cherish fond memories of picnics at the lake with you and Judy and your daughter Jewel, who was exactly one month older than my son Gabriel. Sounds like you packed a lot of life into the intervening years since we last saw one another. Now you reside in the Light RIP Peter Cheese, for that is the name we called you.

I have fond memories of Peter when I left Moss Adams and joined Early Winters back in the early 80's. One memory that still makes me laugh is when he and I had a scheduled meeting with EW's banker in downtown Seattle, and Pete showed up in a pair of lederhosen! He could be a character, but he had a kind and generous heart. RIP, Peter!
